Plan Your Trip Alberta
Canada’s treasured Banff National Park is home to three distinctive mountain resorts:
Mt. Norquay, The Lake Louise Ski Resort and Sunshine Village.
Combined, the resorts boast 8,000 acres of skiing and riding,
2 gondolas, 26 chairlifts, and 30 feet of feather-light,
dry Canadian Rockies powder annually, all accessible with one tri-area lift ticket.
Let Snow Sport Vacations get you there!! Just minutes from the Town of Banff, Mt. Norquay offers the only night skiing in Banff-Lake Louise, including a fully lit terrain park, and expert snowmaking on 85% of the terrain. Family-friendly Mt. Norquay offers outstanding conditions for beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers and riders. This is the best-kept secret in the Canadian Rockies! Located just a 15 minutes west of Banff, Sunshine Village is said to get more snow than any ski area in the Canadian Rockies. Because of excellent conditions, Sunshine Village remains open until late May or even June. Sunshine can receive up to 30 feet of snow in a season and the Village’s altitude of 7,200 feet ensures the snow stays light and dry. The powdery terrain beckons skiers of all levels, and the Sunshine Inn offers a great setting for dinner and drinks after a day on the slopes. With 4200 skiable acres, Lake Louise is one of the largest ski resorts in North America. The best location for kids and beginners for an introduction to skiing and snowboarding is in the Minute Maid Wilderness Adventure Park and the Sunny learning area. This fully inclusive beginner center is conveniently located at the resort next to the Daycare Centre, and features 3 beginner carpet lifts. For those skiers and riders who are seeking the thrills of black diamond runs, focus your attention to the backside alpine bowls, where areas like Jackpot will offer you a wide variety of super challenging steeps and chutes. These are great areas to head to on days with good visibility.
